The spring weather was very nice on the last day in the month of March,
so I decided to go for a drive. At first I thought I would take a short trip
on a back mountain road in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Once I started I decided
to just keep driving to the ocean. I followed California Higway 9 from Saratoga
to Santa Cruz where I found my way to the Coastal Highway and headed north.
One thing that was very apparent is that the spring wildflowers were in bloom
accenting the coastal scenery.
Most of the time I took photos as I drove, but I also stopped occasionally.
This was another trip down memory lane for me. The places where I stopped were
locations that evoke memories of times when my small family would explore the
local mountains and coastline. Once I reached San Gregorio State Beach I stopped
to take a picture. When I left the beach I drove inland and found my way back
to my home in Silicon Valley.
